Women’s History Month Profile: Interview With Morgan Dartnell

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Susqu chapter.

In Honor of National Women’s History Month, Her Campus Susqu interviewed important women in our individual lives. The woman I chose to interview is very influential in my life. She inspires me every day with her strength and grace. Morgan Dartnell is a sophomore here at SU, let’s learn more about her.

Hey Morgan, what is your major and do you have any minors?

I’m a Psychology major with a Health Care studies minor.

Where are you from?

Hackettstown, New Jersey.

What activities are you involved in on campus?

Dance Corps, Psych Club, Alpha Phi Omega and kickboxing.

In three words, describe yourself.

Strong, Independent and active.

Who is your role model?

My grandfather, because he was strong. He didn’t let anything get to him. Didn’t let anything stop him. He was a problem solver and I feel like a lot of my personality traits were passed down from him because I’m tough as hell and stubborn in the best way.

What are your hobbies?

Dance, of course, photography, writing, hiking and art.

What is your favorite TV show? Netflix totally counts.

Heart Of Dixie.

What advice do you have for other women? The young women that will follow us?

Don’t let a man make you feel insignificant. You are powerful and complete on your own.

Yes, girl! Agreed. Morgan Dartnell is one of the strongest women I have come to know here on Susquehanna’s campus. She’s a fantastic dancer, an amazing leader and a wonderful friend. She does her best to be an example for other women and to inspire other women. She teaches dance classes, is an O-Team leader and inspires through example. She’s strong and passionate. Happy Women’s History Month!

I'm just a photographer/writer trying to show the world in a new light.
