New Music You Need to Add to Your Current Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Suffolk chapter.

Open up Spotify, Apple Music, or whatever music streaming platform you prefer, and get ready add some new songs to your playlist because so many artists have recently dropped new music to finish off the 2019 year, and you’re going to want to listen!

New Albums:

Camila Cabello – Romance

‘Romance’ is Camila Cabello’s second album in her solo career. I thoroughly enjoyed her first album, so I was excited to see her drop 14 new tracks (technically 13, since we already know and love ‘Senorita’ featuring Shawn Mendes). I haven’t listened to the album all the way through yet, but so far my favorite is ‘My Oh My’ featuring DaBaby.

The Chainsmokers – World War Joy

The Chainsmokers are one of my top favorite artists (in fact, my top artist of my 2019 according to my Spotify wrapped) and I am so excited that this album is finally complete. As you can see by the album cover above, The Chainsmokers like to release songs one by one and not drop an album all at once. They did the same tactic with their ‘Sick Boy’ Album and I liked it because you always have a new song to look forward to. ‘World War Joy’ was also dropped in increments (except for Friday 12/6 when they blessed us with four songs at once) and has so many incredible features. I think, ‘Family’ featuring Kygo just might be my favorite.

Anticipated Albums:

Harry Styles – Fine Line (coming 12/13/19) Image Credit: DIY Mag

On Friday, December 6th, Harry released ‘Adore You’ the third single off his highly anticipated album ‘Fine Line’ which comes out in one week! And if the song wasn’t enough to make your day, alongside the single, Styles also dropped a music video for ‘Adore You.’

Halsey – Manic (coming 1/17/20)

In September, Halsey began dropping new singles from her third album ‘Manic’ such as ‘Graveyard’ and ‘Clementine.’ The album will also feature her hit single ‘Without Me’ which was originally released in October 2018. On Friday, December 6th, Halsey released not one but two new singles from ‘Manic’; Finally // beautiful stranger and SUGA’s Interlude featuring Suga from BTS. I have loved all of the singles so far, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

New Singles:

Niall Horan – Put A Little Love On Me

Niall’s debut album ‘Flicker’ was released in 2017, and now he’s finally releasing more new music! An album title nor date has yet to be revealed, but recently he’s dropped a few singles that may or may not be on the album. First, ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ came out in October. It has a fun, upbeat pop vibe that makes you want to dance, and I loved this different sound on him. On December 6th, he released ‘Put A Little Love On Me’ (with a music video, too!) and this one is the complete opposite as ‘Nice to Meet Ya’. It is emotional and heartbreaking, yet beautiful at the same time. I am excited to see what’s coming next!

Christmas Tree Farm – Taylor Swift

Last but not least, we can’t forget about the new Christmas music coming out this holiday season! Taylor Swift put us all in the most festive mood with this single and music video, and I’m absolutely living for it. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll get a full Taylor Swift Christmas album!
