TV Dramas to Get You Through the End of the Semester

We all need a little distraction once in a while. These dramas will keep you on the edge of your seat and take you away from your stresses when you want a break from all your hard work!

Rosewood 

Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. is a successful African-American private pathologist based in Miami, Florida who solves crime cases by disproving other pathologists. Rosewood investigates the suspicious death of one of his mother’s top students. Detective Annalise Villa transfer to the Miami police department challenges him but he must work with her to solve the case. 

Catch it Wednesdays at 8p.m. on FOX.

Quantico

A view of the lives of young FBI recruits training at Quantico base in Virginia. One of the recruits is suspected of being a sleeper terrorist. New recruits arrive at Quantico Base in Virginia and Special Agent Liam O’Connor tells them that the FBI Academy is the toughest boot camp and hardest grad school rolled into one. The agents include Bay Area beauty Alex Weaver, Brooklyn hipster Simon Asher, clean cut Mormon Eric Packer, golden boy Caleb Haas, southern belle Shelby Wyatt , hijab wearing Nimah Anwar, and good looking Ryan Booth who succeeds in seducing Alex before classes begin. A few are from FBI families, others have been victims of terrorism. Between target practice and tests of physical endurance, they have to learn the expertise of investigation.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Grant Ward, highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May, expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz, Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, constructs a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Heartbeat

A medical science drama, premieres on NBC television Wednesday March 23. Inspired by a true story, Dr. Alexandra Panttiere is an outspoken heart transplant surgeon. She appears strong-willed, bold and courageous while mingling her full time job with her personal life.

Empire

A captivating drama about a family that struggles to stick together despite greed and the obstacles that come with the music industry. Lucious Lyon rises from being the son of a drug addicted mother to becoming a Hip-Hop giant and CEO of Empire Records. Cookie Lyon gets released from prison and challenges Lucious for her share of Empire Records. Lucious continues to compete with Cookie by pitting their 3 sons against one another.

The family battle continues on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on FOX.
