In the spirit of fitness and new beginnings, I have compiled my favorite workout videos that you can do at home. No equipment necessary. As someone who’s hated working out and was unhealthy for most of my life, a change was needed. I was never comfortable going to the gym, especially not knowing what to specifically do, how many reps to do, and what muscles to target. I started looking up guided workout videos on YouTube. I found that Zumba fitness and aerobic cardio videos were fun, motivating and perfect even for starters. Here are a few of my favorites that helped me learn new exercises and will leave you feeling sore and energized.

They are designed to get your heart pumping and blood flowing. When I first tried these videos, I was dripping in sweat after it was over. At first, when I was watching the video, I thought “this doesn’t look too bad.” Boy, was I wrong.

What are your favorite workout videos? I find Zumba and dance videos the easiest because I don’t even realize I’m working out. I’m just brushing up on my killer, totally coordinated dance moves. Whether you hit the gym or workout from home, all that matters is that you are moving and working on living a healthy and fit life. It’s a nice way to switch up your routine instead of doing cardio on the treadmill everyday. Many of these videos you can modify to do what works for you. For example, you can walk in place instead of jumping in place and work your way up to it in the future. If you miss a day at the gym you can always make up for it by watching some of these videos in the comfort of your own dorm room!
