40 Thoughts I Had While Watching the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Trailer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stony Brook chapter.

We are officially less than a month away from the premiere of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life! I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting for this revival for a very, very, VERY long time. So, when the trailer was released, I had a lot of thoughts and a lot of feels.

  1. They’re back! The Gilmore Girls are really, truly back!

  2. The amazingly fast fast-talking is back!

  3. Stars Hollow is back!

  4. Everything and everyone that I love and miss is back!

  5. I’m so happy!

  6. Luke is in Lorelai’s house!

  7. Does this mean that Luke and Lorelai are still together?

  8. Please let be a yes! Please, please, please!!!

  9. I don’t understand what Rory and Lorelai are talking about, the portrait of Richard is perfect.

  10. But also, Richard is gone and I am about to cry.

  11. Emily Gilmore is the queen of one-liners!

  12. Is Rory unhappy with her life?

  13. Is this why she’s back in Stars Hollow?

  14. Did she return for good?

  15. WHY IS KIRK AT FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER?

  16. This does not make sense.

  17. But also, Friday Night Dinners are back!!

  18. Lorelai and Luke are holding hands!

  19. They are still together!

  20. But Lorelai does not seem happy.

  21. What does this all mean?

  22. The trailer only shows Richard’s funeral for about ten seconds and I am already crying!

  23. How will I handle watching the entire thing?

  24. Note to self: there will be A LOT of tears on November 25. A. LOT. OF. TEARS.

  25. Watching Emily grieve is breaking my heart.

  26. Rory and Jess are having a conversation!

  27. Are they endgame?

  28. Please let them be endgame

  29. #TeamJess

  30. Town Meetings are back too!

  31. I don’t think I’ve realized how much I have missed the Stars Hollow residents until now.

  32. Oh, how I’ve missed Michel and his amazing comments.

  33. Okay, so apparently there is a pig running around town. Interesting…

  34. Jess got a lot more screen time than both Logan and Dean combined.

  35. This is giving me hope.

  36. Is Paris in Chilton?

  37. Does she teach there now?

  38. I would love to see Paris as a teacher!

  39. This will be so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  40. Is it November 25 yet?!?!

November 25 can’t come soon enough!  Until then, I guess we’ll just binge watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix and rewatch the trailer, which, by the way, you can watch right here!
