20 Stages of Preparing for Midterms

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Stony Brook chapter.

1. You realize that your first midterms are only a week away

2. So you sit down with your books for a few minutes

3. Then you realize you can’t really comprehend the material

4. So you decide to take a break

5. But then you realize you have a whole week so why not finish an entire season of a show on Netflix?

6. You happen to catch a glimpse of the clock and you realize you may have an issue

7. You still don’t know anything for your exam, and now it’s less then a week away

8. Then you think “But who needs college, am I right?”

9.  ….You need college

10.  So you look for stimulants to help you stay awake

11. You decide to listen to some motivational music

12. And actually sit down to study

13. After cramming for the exam the night before, you decide that enough is enough

14.  When you arrive to the classroom, the professor hands out the exam

15.  You’ll see questions that were not even mentioned in class

16.  So you’ll probably wish you would’ve studied a little bit more

17. After all of your valiant efforts you finally hand the exam in

18. You talk to other students and they said they thought the exam was hard

19.  You celebrate!

20. Because you are finally free!
