In college, you meet all kinds of different people, specifically, different types of guys. After sharing boy stories with all my friends, I decided to make a list of what kinds of boys you’re mostly likely going to meet at school using the best analogy I know: food items.

Item 1: Tequila Shots

No, just no. The creepy guy at the bar (his age may vary), that will not take a hint to leave you alone. When this guy approaches you may think to yourself, “No, I don’t want you to buy me a drink. Yes, you do look like you graduated with my dad thirty years ago. No, I don’t like you feeling up my backside telling me to relax.”

Item 2: Sh*tty Nachos

Sadly, this type of boy is all too common and frankly it’s never worth your time. At first the “nachos” sound like an okay idea but when they finally arrive the chips are stale and the cheese is cold. Overall, a disappointment. Chances are you don’t actually like the guy, but you just want to pass the time until someone you like comes along. Even if you see others ordering the same “nachos,” they probably don’t want them either and you shouldn’t feel like you’re missing out.

Item 3: Nachos Supreme

For the most part, this boy is an upgrade from the sh*tty nachos. You have lots of chemistry and physical attraction. There may or may not be a mental connection. Nachos supreme is that occasional hookup that you rarely regret.

Item 4: Soup & Salad

The occasional fling that has a mental connection along with physical attraction. He not only physically appeals, but has some type of ambition or personality. If you aren’t looking for anything serious or long term, this guy is great for casual dating or even just as a date to your cousin’s wedding.

Item 5: Ranch Dressing

Just because ranch tastes good doesn’t mean it’s good for you. While the idea of this boy may be appealing, he has no substance and does not have any beneficial attributes. Don’t make a habit of using ranch; aka don’t put too much effort into this boy.

Item 6: Main Course

This is what you waited for: attractive, personality, long term commitment, and above all, loyalty. This boy is a MAN. He is secure in himself and his relationship with you, supports you, and brings out the best in you. You are treated as an equal, a priority, a queen. He will appreciate you for who you are.

Item 7: Dessert

This dish is YOU. Because the guy needs to work to earn you and deserve you.

Hannah
