Do you find yourself twiddling your thumbs, unable to remember how you spent your time the days before final exams, Christmas Fest, and Secret Santa swaps filled every waking moment? Fear not, for you guide to staying busy over break is here!

  1. Read a book, even re-read your favorite one (Time to read Harry Potter for the fifth time!).

  2. Take your dog for a walk, throw a tennis ball for them, and/or wrestle in the snow (assuming there is snow).

  3. Send positive vibes asking for a White Christmas.

  4. Sing Christmas carols with your family, even go door to door caroling!

  5. Decorate stockings for everyone in your family.

  6. Learn how to knit from YouTube videos (great for Christmas gifts!)

  7. Watch inspiring TED talks.

  8. Stretch! Or try a hot yoga class.

  9. Set fitness goals and try running outside. Believe it or not, the cold weather can actually make it less painful.

  10. Make a Spotify playlist of your favorite Christmas music

  11. TV shows to binge-watch on Netflix: Shameless, New Girl, Master of None, Parenthood, Grace and Frankie, Mad Men, Scandal, American Crime, Being Mary Jane, Ali Wong: Baby Cobra, House of Cards.

  13. Volunteer any opportunity you find!

  14. Go through your closet and donate anything you don’t need/never seem to wear.
