This ladder my roommate, Hannah, and I got at the beginning of freshman year when we lived in one of the smallest dorms on campus and had our beds lofted end to end so they took up a whole wall of the room on there was no way for us to climb up on to them. We decided to decorate the ladder since it looked so industrial and we added some personal touches like my drawing of the Seattle skyline, a common view where I’m from, and Hannah drew a mountainous scene to remind her of her home in Colorado. We continued to live together and we still treasure this ladder.
