What’s up, Oles? We all know the feeling of getting emotionally invested in a TV show – you feel like you are going through the experiences with the characters, want to congratulate them when they succeed and get upset when they are forced to deal with tragedy. Nothing sucks more than finding out your favorite show is getting canceled, or there will only be one more season. Here are a few TV shows we wish were still on the air and churning out new material for us to consume each week:

The O.C.

California, here we come! This teen drama revolves around the life of troubled Ryan Atwood, who is brought to live with the wealthy Cohen family in Newport Beach, California after a run-in with the law. Ryan and his new brother Seth, a socially awkward outcast at Newport’s elite high school, spend much of the series navigating life in a community that thrives on scandal, weaving in and out of relationships and hopping from one black tie event to the next. Oh, how we long for the days of Seth and Summer, and Ryan getting in passionate fistfights over Marissa.

One Tree Hill

Even though One Tree Hill ran for an impressive nine seasons, we wouldn’t be opposed to it being brought back for just a few more! This drama series follows the lives of half-brothers Nathan and Lucas Scott, whose relationship develops from bitter rivals to close friends through their shared interest in basketball. Along the way, they must deal with family problems, complicated relationships and the everyday struggles of high school. With the multiple love triangles, dramatic basketball games and fabulous new music, One Tree Hill was timeless show that will forever be remembered as one of the greats.

Friday Night Lights

Based on the book and film of the same name, Friday Night Lights is centered on a high school football team in Dillon, Texas. In Dillon, football is life – everything, including school, family, relationships and business revolves around the successes and failures of the Dillon Panthers. The show focuses on how the arrival of new coach Eric Taylor affects the town and his family and the pressures many of the team members face. If only we could feast our eyes on Tim Riggins and Matt Saracen for just a few more episodes. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose!

Arrested Development

Although comedy series Arrested Development was renewed for a fourth season last year, we wish it had been renewed for more! Following the lives of the dysfunctional Bluth family, Arrested Development has received rave reviews for its quirky sense of humor and lovable characters. Good news for fans: Ron Howard, creator of the series, has mentioned the possibility of a fifth season, as well as a movie based off of the family’s adventures! Hooray for more of Buster and his prosthetic hand!

Freaks And Geeks

Ranked number one on TV Guide’s list of 60 Shows That Were Cancelled Too Soon, Freaks And Geeks launched the careers of multiple A-List stars and developed a large cult following during its 12-episode run. Centered on the lives of teenager Lindsay Weir and her younger brother Sam, the show follows their journeys through high school in their respective social groups and the peer pressure they face. Who knew young James Franco could be so dreamy?
