Hey readers! Need some new music to fuel your study sessions or your next workout? Check out these hot new tracks!

Y.A.L.A. – M.I.A.

M.I.A. has never been one to take herself too seriously, as we hear in her electrifying new album Matangi. This track is a standout, and is her response to the “YOLO” craze; Y.A.L.A. stands for “You Always Live Again”.

The Monster (feat. Rihanna) – Eminem

Eminem’s recently released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is laden with catchy tracks, but this is the one that will get stuck in your head all day. A reunion with Rihanna (remember “Love The Way You Lie”, anyone?) on the refrain is what really pushes it to the top.

Afterlife – Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire approaches heartbreak with this simple yet profound track, asking the big question “I’ve gotta know, can we work it out?” Listen to this if you’re having relationship troubles or feeling any sort of angst.

Closer Than This – St. Lucia

This synth-pop hit off of St. Lucia’s new album When The Night has a great beat and energy to it. The synthesizers add a unique sound that will get you up and moving, no matter how hard you try to sit still.

Best I Ever Had – Gavin DeGraw

Oh Gavin Degraw, how far you’ve come since your One Tree Hill days. This track has a sort of country, dance-y feel to it; in other words, good luck trying to get it out of your head.

Shake – The Head And The Heart

Fresh off their recently released second album, this track exemplifies the indie folk-rock sounds The Head And The Heart have become increasingly well known for. Soft and pleasant but with an edge, it’s perfect for singing along to on a long drive.

Revolution (feat. Faustix & Imanos and Kai) – Diplo

If anyone knows how to make a good track for dancing, it’s Diplo. Having worked with M.I.A., Major Lazer, Usher, Snoop Lion and more, he’s created a name for himself in the music producing world. Fast-paced and powerful, this song is made for the clubs.

Love Me Again – John Newman

Listening to John Newman, you would never guess that he is only 23 years old. His soulful music has an old-school vibe to it, similar to that of Bruno Mars. Keep your eyes on this kid – he’s got a great career ahead of him.

Dreaming – Smallpools

Surprisingly, Smallpools formed their band just this year; Dreaming was their debut single. It’s success has already landed them a gig as opening act for Two Door Cinema Club and was used in an episode of The Vampire Diaries.

Say Something (feat. Christina Aguilera) – A Great Big World

A Great Big World had already recorded and released this song when Xtina heard it and wanted in. Luckily, her powerful chops didn’t stifle the original beauty of the track; her support enhances it in the way only a megastar could. Add the great piano melody and string section, and you’ll be reaching for a Kleenex in no time.
