Kailee’s Tunes: Your Christmas Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at St Olaf chapter.

Every true music lover needs a good Christmas playlist for the holidays. The best playlists have variety, and since your Christmas playlist will most likely have all Christmas songs, you need to find variety in other ways.

To make your Christmas Playlist, you should use this checklist:

            1) See if your favorite band/artist has a Christmas album released.

            2) Decide whether you want to include Christian Christmas songs or just festive songs.

3) Search for the “classic Christmas songs” and original recordings that are simply too good to pass up.

            4) Find holiday songs from musicals, Disney or other productions.

            5) Choose the order of your songs.

Once you create your very own playlist, you can listen to it while baking Christmas cookies, decorating the tree, hanging out with friends or even studying for finals.

Here is my Christmas Playlist to give you some ideas:

·         The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole

·         Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms

·         White Christmas by Michael Buble

·         All I Want For Christmas Is You by Glee

·         The First Noel  by Carrie Underwood

·         Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Bruce Springsteen

·         Oh Come, Oh Emmanuel by The Fray

·         Frosty the Snowman by Gene Autry

·         My Grown Up Christmas List by Kelly Clarkson

·         Let It Snow by Disney Merry Christmas
