Â
Meet one of your Her Campus St. Olaf Campus Correspondents, Kate Roy!!
Name:Â Kate Roy
Year of graduation:Â 2016
Major/concentration:Â Psychology & Dance
Favorite place to study: The Cage is great for doing work (and socializing..) but if I really need to get work done, I’ll go to Regents!
Favorite food:Â Chocolate. Without a doubt, I’ll have at least two pieces of Dove dark chocolate in my backpack for emergencies. And yes, a lack of chocolate qualifies as an emergency. I also brought a chocolate fountain to campus to use in our pod. I think that explains my obsession…
Favorite movie: The Amazing Spiderman (mostly because of Andrew Garfield), as well and Shawshank Redemption.
Hobbies:Â Dancing (especially to “Turn Down for What”), laughing (usually at myself), making weird faces, journaling, reading fashion magazines, eating chocolate, being in group selfies, and going on adventures.
Campus Activities:Â I am a Campus Correspondent for St. Olaf’s Her Campus chapter this year, and I am a member of St. Olaf’s modern dance company, CompanyDance – come see the senior showcase in December!
After St. Olaf I would like to:Â take advantage of travel opportunities before I delve into a career (which I am still trying to figure out). As of now, I’d love to be either a Dance Therapist/Movement Therapist or do something with regard to fashion.Â
Proudest Moment/Greatest Achievement:Â having the opportunity to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark second semester this year!Â
What do you want the ladies of St. Olaf to know:Â Don’t try to be anyone other than yourself! We are all beautiful, talented, and radiant individuals – let your unique light shine confidently!
