After cramming for my finals like all caffeine-crazed Oles do, I began to daydream about summer. One thing St. Olaf has taught me is that Minnesota is super cold. Whenever I would tell anyone that I was going to school in Minnesota, the first thing many people would say, “Isn’t it super cold up there?” I would always respond with, “It shouldn’t be too bad, I’m from Chicago!” But ever since experiencing the brute force of Minnesota’s January weather, I’ve definitely changed my tune. Because we live up on a hill, I’ve learned to look take the temperature my weather app tells me with a grain of salt. It’s almost always a few degrees colder here. So, in no particular order, here are a list of 8 things that I love, remind me of, and miss about summer.
