Why Aren’t You Following Moms Yet?

Following mother’s on social media while you are young and without children really does help you out in the long run. The main reason being they really help you navigate your day to day by doing parent things you definitely will forget to do. Ways to find Moms that are dedicated to social media is Facebook engagement groups. There is a huge market of women who really just want to post nice looking photos and get like from other women like them. This is where you kind find some gems, one mother I personally follow lives on a farm and lives as sustainable as possible. It helps me with my own sustainability and she also lives pretty organically so she is always posting her best concoctions. @farmishmomma is her handle, but she is not the only one I follow. I feel there are some major benefits to following mothers are here are just a few:

They will remind you to not only eat but eat things that are genuinely good for you. Plus, they do it so subtly it won’t make you feel bad. Eva Chen who is a fashion influencer and author whose outfits are always on point, but so are her daughter’s lunches. Ren, Eva’s daughter, is always getting her daily dose of fruits and veggies because of her mom. It could be the offset the cookie that is also in her lunch, while also being a reminder for us bigger kids out there to eat some colors. All college-aged people struggle with trying to eat right and following a mom who is constantly updating her content is the way to go.

Products, genuinely good products that these people use are on mom’s Instagram pages. The reason I believe they post more diligently is because they are not going to put a lot of random products if that is their career.  Ellarie is a mother that I follow not only because she is a makeup guru, but also because of her skin type and skin tone. She also deals with oil build up and has the same skin tone as me which really helps me follow her videos. She makes sure to always voice her real opinion about products and somehow always achieves these flawless looks. Maintaining your skin while you are young is one thing all older women harp on, so be sure to look out for your product go-to.

Lastly, Marina Larrourde who I only found because of her relation to Elaine Welteroth (former EIC of Teen Vogue). Marina has been in the fashion game for some time working her way up the ranks and essentially achieving her dream job. Though, she is a mother, the Fashion Director for Barney’s and well a person she doesn’t hide the difficulty of managing it all. In one of her posts post a fashion week show, she addressed how late she would be getting home yet she was up the next morning at her  6 am. workout class. In an age where we reward hard work and require self-care, it is important to understand you need determination as well as boundaries.

Life in your 20s goes by fast so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to look at those a few steps ahead of you.
