It’s finals week…

These three words are probably some of the scariest you could possibly say to a college student. Much like a rollercoaster, a tumultous relationship, or even your heartbreak after the death of McDreamy(I’m still upset over this), your emotions during this week are bound to be unpredictable and rapidly changing. Here is what goes through my head during finals.

The Procrastination Phase

1. I have sooo much time.

2. I should really start watching the fourth season of Scandal.

3. When I grow up, I want to be Olivia Pope.

4. Her wardrobe is beautiful.

Begins online shopping…

5. Shopping is justified and will always be justified.

6. I think I just ordered like 3 pairs of shoes from Nordstrom.

7. My credit card is crying.

The Overconfidence Phase

1. Finals aren’t that bad. I did well last year, so I should be fine. Right?

Studies for 20 minutes…

2. I got this!

Takes online quiz…

3. 90 percent. Oh yeah! I will ace this final.

4. I think I deserve another break.

The Stressed Out Phase

1. I just ate an entire package of raw cookie dough. I think I have a problem.

2. My eyes hurt from staring at my laptop screen.

3. I hate Fondren. I will never come back here.

Falls asleep in Fondren…

4. I hate my life.

Becomes very dramatic…

The Totally Screwed Phase

Two hours till the final…

1. I made notes and I read. OK, just breathe.

Finishes reading chapter.

2. Shoot. I have no idea what this chapter just said.

Reads again.

3. We never even learned this!

The Relieved Phase

1. I am out of here.

Does a happy dance…way too many people see.

2. I hope I did well.

Grades posted…

1. I got an A. I got an A.

Does another happy dance…

What goes through my head during finals is probably a bit different than what goes through yours, but you get the point.

Good luck on finals everyone!
