Eating healthy can be hard, but it tastes so good when you are eating a $14 salad with artistically arranged avocado slices.  Here are 3 ways to give your at-home salads a glow up.

1. Add Some Crunch

Having a crunchy element in your salad will make it feel more satisfying to eat.  Adding some broken up tortilla chips or sliced sweet peppers keeps the composition interesting.

2. Consider a Grain

Including a starchy carb in your salad can be a good addition and can help keep you fuller longer, especially if you choose not to add a protein. Adding quinoa is my personal favorite, but corn is also a good option.

3. Think Outside of the Dressing Bottle

Any condiment can be a salad dressing: hot sauce, soy sauce, and my personal favorite: salsa. If you are a fan of guac, you need to try putting it in a salad. It’s life-changing. Don’t forget to add salt and pepper!
