Even if it doesn’t quite feel like it yet, spring is upon us. And what better way to refresh for spring than to clean your dorm! Here are 4 tips to give yourself a fresh start.

1. Wipe down all the surfaces in your room and the inside of your fridge (if you have one).

I find that dust collects rapidly in my dorm and the best way to go about getting rid of all of it is by using a multi-purpose cleaner you can use on all surfaces, and work from top to bottom. When you work from top to bottom you wipe down the highest places first so that way you don’t wipe dust from high places to have it fall onto already cleaned surfaces.

2. Empty your trash!

This is so simple but I know so many people with overflowing trash cans in their rooms. This is especially important if you’re throwing out food in this trash can that could potentially smell.

3. Clean your sheets

I personally never get around to cleaning my comforter like I probably should, but changing your sheets is so important (along with washing your towels!) and there’s nothing better than sleeping in a bad with clean sheets.

4. Vacuum

If you have a vacuum, use it! I just brought an old one from home this past semester and it’s been a life saver.
