Beauty lovers of Hawk Hill it’s time to rejoice: Ulta Beauty just opened a new location on City Avenue in the City Avenue Shopping Center! Ulta Beauty reached out to Her Campus SJU, and set us up with a fun opportunity to go to the new beauty emporium and shop our hearts out. And we did just that.
Some of us received free beauty consultations, while the rest just browsed around, selecting item after item that we never knew we needed in our lives. I wasn’t in the market for anything, but I love a good beauty discovery. Ulta Beauty’s the perfect place for that. It offers a wide selection of products for bath and shower, hair, skincare, and makeup. There’s even a hair salon and a brow bar in store. After browsing for an hour, selecting 100 different products, and then narrowing it down to something more reasonable, these are some of the products I left with.
1. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
I’m a huge fan of the First Aid Beauty brand, already incorporating the face wash and face lotion in my skincare routine, so trying this product was a no-brainer for me. These facial pads tone, exfoliate, and illuminate your skin. It’s only been a week since I started using them day and night after I was my face and before I put on moisturizer, and I can already tell a difference in my skin.
2. Soap and Glory Body Butter
Lucky for me I ran out of my body lotion the night before the Ulta Beauty trip, so I knew I’d be able to pick up another the next day. I’d heard of this skincare brand before, but never tried any products so I figured now was as good as time as ever. While it’s not my favorite lotion, it does the job and it smells great!
3. Burberry Brit, For Her perfume
I first tried this perfume last winter, but had just bought another one so I didn’t buy it at the time. A year later I’m finally ready for a new one and I knew I had to get it. I’ve been looking around for this particular scent, but had no luck finding it at other beauty boutiques and department stores. Thankfully, Ulta Beauty has a great perfume selection and had this one in stock. Because this was a bit of a splurge, I decided I’d put it in my own stocking for Christmas. Aren’t I the best gift giver ever?
