Recap of the SJU Student’s Eagles Super Bowl Win Experience

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

The Eagles winning Super Bowl LII, their first ever Super Bowl win, was probably the highlight of some of our careers here at SJU. Being a student in Philly since then has been so exciting and has allowed us to be a part of that history. Let’s relive the thoughts and emotional roller coaster  all SJU students experienced during the Eagles madness the past few weeks (because let’s be honest, we’re still not over it and probably never will be).

  1. OH. MY GOD. THEY WON. HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE. GO BIRDS!!

    2. *storming Broad Street* I am a part of history right now. What a time to be a Philadlephian.     3. Is that a guy on top of the traffic light?4. Okay, this is literally The Purge.

5. “What, your class got cancelled?!” *obsessively refreshes email all night*6. “You mean I actually have to go to class today? Why are my professors ruining my life?” 7. All of these Philly schools getting called off for the parade except SJU

8. “Really, Villanova has off on Thursday? I swear, if we don’t…” 9. Trying to convince your teachers to cancel class on Thursday like

10. When we finally got that email cancelling classes

11. *waking up at 5 am to get to the parade*13. “Are your Snaps uploading?”

12. *after standing at your spot at the parade for 4 hours* “I don’t think I’ll ever feel my feet again.” 13. “I realllllly hope that liquid I’m standing in is not pee…”14. *the parade finishes, you barely saw a thing, and didn’t get  single snap of it*  “That can’t be it. Did I really just stand here for 5 hours for a 10 minute parade that consisted mostly of people I don’t recognize?”

15. Oh well. It was once in a lifetime!!
