The Perfect Smoothie Bowl
Even though summer is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean we have to stop eating our favorite summertime meals. I know that the infamous smoothie bowl will be created at least once a week in my kitchen! Eating your smoothie out of a bowl is not only photogenic, but allows you to add toppings. Plus, rather than drinking your calories, you can eat them making you feel fuller!
- ¾ cup of frozen berries
- One banana (half for the smoothie, half to top the smoothie)
- ½ cup of green yogurt
- Handful of spinach
- 2 tablespoons of almond butter
- Half an avocado
- 1/4 cup of almond milk
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until desired thickness! Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with sliced banana, granola, and any other preferred toppings. Some other ideas for possible toppings are: coconut shavings, chia seeds, sliced almonds, trail mix, cacao nibs, and more. Enjoy!
