As winter is wrapping up and spring begins to come in at full force, it’s time to strip off those winter coats and dive into something a little more aesthetically pleasing. Pinterest seems to be the forefront of inspiration for all of the newest trends, and they have definitely helped me discover new styles of pieces to add to my collection for this next season. Here is a list of a couple of trends that I have compiled and noticed making an uproar in fashion for this spring.

Pastel Knits/Cardigans

Pastels are an obvious staple for any spring season since they give off major spring vibes with all of the bright and fun colors involved. Knits and cardigans are also essential, even though we are moving past one of the coldest seasons of the year, it does get a little chilly from time to time.

Mix those two together, and you get the combination that everyone will be raving about. Seeing that everyone is also obsessed with neutrals, throwing on a pastel cardigan on top would absolutely elevate the outfit and make it fit into the perfect spring vibe.

Milkmaid Dresses

Spring is the best time for picnics out with the gals, so what better piece to wear than a milkmaid dress? These dresses give off major cottage core vibes, and when the leaves are turning green while the birds are chirping, it starts to feel just like you’re living in a scene of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Paired with a simple sneaker or a small heel, these dresses are one of the comfiest things to wear! This leaves you looking cute and feeling like you put more effort into your outfit than you genuinely did.

Sheer Tops

Warmth in the air calls for the need to strip, but not everyone wants to dress in revealing pieces. This is where sheer tops come into the picture. These tops allow for more airflow, which lessens the sweat while keeping yourself pretty covered.

This type of top is also perfect for layering, whether it be adding a cute bralette underneath or adding a simple jacket on top. It makes a statement while also keeping you pretty covered and free from any dress code violations.

Adding these pieces into your wardrobe will not only keep you in touch with the trends but will also step your style up to another level. Tag us on Instagram, @HerCampusSJSU, so we can see all of the outfits you pull off this spring season!
