We run a chapter of the national organization Her Campus, which entails writing articles, planning events and producing social media content. You’ll meet new friends at Simmons
If you’re new to campus or just looking to make some new friends, HC is a great way to do this! Our chapter is full of some of the best people I’ve ever met, and I think all of our members can say they’ve made a new friend through their experience with us! From our events to our fundraisers to our meetings, there are always places to meet new friends!

1. You could even meet new friends from around the country
Looking to expand your friend group even further? HC has chapters at over 300 colleges in nine countries! Joining the club is a great way to connect with members of other chapters, especially at the several chapters within Boston! We frequently hold events with our sister chapter at BU and have gotten to know some of their great members too. The Boston chapters are in talks to plan an event together in the near future, so keep your eye out!

2. HC offers tons of Internship and job opportunities
Her Campus Media is located right in the Fenway area and offers amazing jobs and internships! Internships are offered year round and include categories like editorial, community development, social media and design. Being a part of your school’s HC chapter is a great way to get an internship like this!
3. Joining our team is a great resume builder
Being a part of HC is an awesome way to build your resume and portfolio. Anything you write or design for us can go into a portfolio to show an employer, and your position as a writer for us is a great thing to put on a resume.
4. It’s a really fun way to get involved!
Joining HC at Simmons is a great way to get involved with both a great organization like HC and Simmons as well. Reporting on events or doing profiles on professors or students will connect you more to your school and the amazing Simmons community. Especially if you’re a freshman, joining our club is a great way to make new friends and connect with your school.
