I’ve always prayed for a love

Don’t see it in my future

Don’t wanna end up lonely

I want it to last

Never thought I’d cry for love

Over what I haven’t felt

Over what I haven’t seen

I don’t wanna feel this way

I’ve seen something like this

Pretending it’s like this

I don’t wanna hear those words

I’ll never believe those words

If they say they love me

When really, they want me

In an unromantic way

I could never feel that way

If I love someone

I don’t wanna fight no one

Wanna be the only one

Even if we both have changed

Always thought I had seen it

Thought that it was love I’d found

But the trust runs thin, and they

Always come around

No use in conversations

If they raise their hands up high

And to put them down on me

Is this what it’s like?

I’ve seen something like this

Pretending it’s like this

I don’t wanna hear those words

I’ll never believe those words.

Hi, my name is Alayna I love writing short stories and poetry. My favorite color is pink and I truly believe we should break out into song whenever we feel like a musical.
