It’s that time of the year where we are stressing out to the max. We are all so worried about failing, but just know, YOU got this. Life is about the ups and downs, so if you fail, just get back up and try again. The most important thing is to pay attention to your mental stability. We go around pretending to be happy, but in reality, we are stressing out and wanting to break down. Here are some things you can do to help relieve that feeling that I think will help.

  • Rage Room-These places are the perfect place to release anger, stress and any unwanted feelings.
  • Yoga-This sport is solely for the mind and body. It helps when you need it the most.
  • Singing/ Dancing-Both of these things help release happy hormones. I know when I am in a bad mood and need to get rid of some stress, I will sing at the top of my lungs in my car while driving.
  • Take a Drive-This goes with the last one, when you need to take a mental break, just go out and drive. Sometimes just getting away from everything will help your brain to relax.

When we forget the importance of our mental health, it starts to decay. When we are mentally unfit, it can also lead to you becoming physically unfit slowly, which is not something we enjoy. Every once in a while we need to just take a minute and breathe because we will just keep it all in, and we all know that never ends well. I believe that these tips will help you take care of yourself when you need it most.

Hello Everyone! My name is Laura Restrepo and I go to SFA. I plan to major in psychology so I can use my degree to help others and make this world a better place. I am a writer for Her Campus. I love to read anything and everything whether its books, magazines, blogs, fan-fiction, journals, etc. I enjoy all types of music; I am open to anything. I am also a huge nerd for Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings/Hobbit series. In conclusion, the perfect day for me consists of these things with coffee and cold weather.
