“And They Will Never Hear My Voice”

It’s what they do

And I can’t say it

I can’t play this

game I’m going to lose

Their word against mine

I’ll shut up

I won’t cross that line

Tell them what I said

What I did

And that I have no regrets

And I’ll happily make my bed

And they’ll tell their friends

All of my horrors

There’s nothing I will defend

I’ll sit back

Maybe I’ll smile

And watch their porcelain faces

Crack

It might as well be on the news

They’ve added their own spin

And there’s nothing I can do

 I had no choice

And this isn’t what I wanted

But they will never know my side

And they will never hear my voice
