It seems as though nothing good ever lasts. Between Gigi and Zayn, Anna and Chris people thought that the worst was over. That was until Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum called it quits this past week. The couple that arguably consists of two of the most attractive people in Hollywood decided to split.

The couple has a cute 5-year-old daughter and a supposedly great life filled with Magic Mike sequels and Lip Sync Battles. Every time either one would appear on Ellen or The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, they could never stop gushing about how much they love their family. This just proves that public persona and personal life can differ dramatically.

Whenever a Hollywood “it couple” splits, rumors swirl and people get nosy. Whether is cheating with nannies (Ben Affleck and Jen Garner) or just “growing up and apart” (Justin and Selena) people need to know every detail, myself included. Channing and Jenna released a statement that basically said they are “moving in different directions.” Not sure how that can happen after 9 years of marriage, but regardless their split left a whole in people who believe in the Hollywood fairytale.

Their story was just too perfect. They met on the set of Step Up, and while their characters fell in love, so did they. It was programed for us to love them from the start. Step Up launched their career and now I feel like I may never be able to watch it again. I hope for their sake that they are happier, healthier, and keep their child first.

While I will not be watching Step Up, I still have no problem watching Magic Mike on repeat. So I guess it’s not the worst thing ever.
