“Ignorance is bliss” they say,

But ignoring someone’s feelings is truly brutal.

It makes people feel like prey,

And not speaking up is seemingly futile.

Nobody should bottle up their emotions,

Or feel like they have to walk on eggshells,

Because that is when it amounts to nothing but commotions.

There are many people who see the world in pastels,

But there’s also who only see it in black and white.

These two extremes can never find true compromise.

The world and people in it can be such a delight.

If we all learned how to humanize.

So, take these words and truly reflect,

And that’s how you can learn to gain true intellect.

I am currently a junior majoring in psychology at the University of Scranton. I am Scranton born and raised. I plan on attending grad school after completing my studies at the University. I also love to write about almost anything especially in regards to mental health.
