Finals are approaching rapidly, and it is no surprise that our skin starts to literally show the effects of stress. Between writing multiple essays and preparing for five different exams, it is easy to put our skin care on the back burner. However, there are some quick and easy tips to keep your skin looking good during finals!

Snack Wisely
The best way to stay alert while studying is to limit the amount of sugar in your snacks! It may seem easier and quicker to eat a candy bar, but by preparing snacks like an apple and peanut butter you will be helping yourself to stay alert and keep your skin looking good by choosing the healthier option.

Sleep
Obviously, this is easier said than done, but it does actually work! Although you may think that cramming all night will help retain the information, long-term sleep deprivation actually causes more stress, which takes a toll on your skin. By getting a good sleep, you – and your skin will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to continue studying.

Keep Your Skincare Routine
Don’t skip your everyday routine! It only takes a couple extra minutes in the morning and night to wash your face! By choosing to stick to your routine your skin will continue to be on a regime and you’ll see the benefits of not skipping your daily routine!

Take a Bath
When you need to take a study break, take a bath! This is the all around perfect way to de-stress and the steam from the bath will help your skin breathe. Add some bubbles and even drink a glass of wine – I know you deserve it!

Do a Face Mask
Another quick and easy tip that takes ten minutes tops is to do a face mask. There are a million of options out there, so choose a mask that you enjoy. I personally love the Freeman brand of face masks from CVS – they are cheap and they leave your skin feeling great!

Exercise
When you get tired of reading chapter after chapter from your boring textbook and need a break, go to the gym! Exercising increases blood flow, which in turn nourishes skin cells to keep them vital. A quick gym trip will actually benefit your skin in the long run!

Hydration
Getting hydrated is probably the easiest way to keep skin looking fresh. Add some fresh fruit to your water for a better taste, and you won’t even realize how much water you consume!
