In light of all the that happens in a span of your life, it becomes easier and easier to lose sight of who you are. The harder your life gets, the harder it becomes to see yourself through all the blurriness. You are going to encounter a lot of problems; many you will be completely blind-sided by. The most important thing when dealing with any crisis is remembering who you are. It is so easy to get lost in your own head and your own problems. You have to remind yourself of the person you are to in order to respond to your situations accordingly.

Speaking out of anger is never going to work in your favor. Sometimes maybe silence is your best option in a specific moment. Learn to respond to stressful situations in a way your best self would. You do not need to fall into the pressure of getting the last word in. You do need to pretend to be okay when you’re in despair. You do need to be cruel or unjust to people because they do not treat you correctly. What you do and how you respond to situations is what makes you, you.

Never let the goodness in you get blurred by the negativity surrounding you.

I am currently a junior majoring in psychology at the University of Scranton. I am Scranton born and raised. I plan on attending grad school after completing my studies at the University. I also love to write about almost anything especially in regards to mental health.
