The Oscar De La Renta Event

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SCAD chapter.

On October 3, 2015 one of the largest fashion museums in the U.S opened its doors to the public and to its students. This museum was SCAD Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta first exhibit featured work by the late Oscar de la Renta, including gowns on loan by first lady Laura Bush and dresses worn by Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey. Even though it was light rain this day the view of the Atlanta skyline made you forget about whatever bad weather that was going on outside. As the line wrapped around to the parking lot, and everyone raised up their umbrellas as the rain started to come down a little faster no one moved from the line from excitement of what everyone wanted to see when they went up those stairs. It was amazing the beading, embroidery, pleating, tailoring, taste and style of this designer was displayed to a great aptitude, but hey you have to go see it for yourself I recommend it! The museum is located within SCAD Atlanta’s campus at 1600 Peachtree St. It had opened Oct. 3 at noon, and admission was free opening day. But now the museum will be open Tuesday through Sunday and admission will cost $10. The exhibition will remain there until December the 31st! so you have time but hurry!

Here is a couple of pictures that might persuade you! Don’t say I didn’t worn you they are exquisite!
