With midterms this week, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of work on your plate. Here are five tips to help you get through finishing all your assignments:

1. Make a schedule.

Break up your work for each day. Not only is this a good way to make sure you finish all the work you need to, but it also helps make sure you’re not rushing at the last minute. If you need motivation to finish everything on your to do list for that day, set up some rewards for yourself for when you complete what you want to.

2. Start working now.

It’s easy to procrastinate and put off your work, but don’t do it! You’ll regret waiting when you’re rushing to finish your projects the night before they’re due.

3. Don’t forget to eat.

This sounds redundant, but it’s easy to stay at the studio or lab all day without a break when you have a pile of work to finish. If you know you’re not going to be able to stop by home or a restaurant for food pack a snack.

4. Work with other people.

Late nights during midterms are inevitable, but if you’ve got a friend or two around that are up working too it’s easier to stay up and focus on your work.

5. Have a good playlist ready.

We all know that during midterms and finals there’s not as much sleeping happening as there should be. If you’re like me, music helps you concentrate and not fall asleep when you’re working through the night.
