Girls Rugby Making Strides with Kenzie Bush

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SBU chapter.

Hometown: Naples, Fl

Major: Psychology

Her Campus: You just finished your last season of rugby! How did it go?

Kenzie Bush: It went well! We made it to states having only 16 girls on the team which means we only had one sub the whole season. It was a little stressful at times, but everyone played really well and had fun.

HC: When did you start playing?

KB:I started playing when I was a freshman.

HC: Your team seems very close, how do you think that helps you guys playing on the field?

KB:I think that us being as close as we are helps because you can always trust that someone will be behind you for support. It also helps because we watch so many teams fall apart on the field and start yelling at eachother and I think the reason why that doesn’t happen to us is because of how close we are.

HC:What are you going to miss the most about playing?

KB:Probably just being on such a close team and being able to eat a disgusting amount of food and still somehow stay in shape. HC:

HC:What’s your favorite thing about Bonas?

KB:The Bona bubble and when the Hickey has pierogies.
