College is all about learning new things and having new experiences. On the other hand, college is about doing things for ourselves like cooking, cleaning, and making sure we are healthy all on our own with a couple calls to home pleading for care packages. Many of us don’t even know how to cook anything but Ramen and Easy-Mac which, you know, is easy. We don’t have time for four-course meals and “real” food. However, we do have Pinterest.
Pinterest is one of those social media outlets where we can “pin” our lives onto our boards, whether it be plans for our future homes or just recipes for fun cupcakes that always end up on the Twitter timelines that include all the “Pinterest fails.” These recipes, however, are almost too easy to fail. So here are some options if you’re not in a hurry and aren’t too intimidated to try them.
1. Pillsbury Grands Mini Pizzas
One of my personal favorites is super easy and takes less than 30 minutes to make. Plus, it’s super yummy if you really like pizza.
2. Loaded Mashed Potato Cups
These loaded mashed potato cups, made easily with a muffin pan, are hearty and warm, and who doesn’t love cheese & bacon? They’ll remind you of the warmth of the mashed potatoes that your mom makes at home.

3. Mini Chicken Pot Pies
Aw how cute are these? If you like chicken soup in pie form, this is a recipe perfect for you.

4. Chicken Enchilada Puffs
Going back to Pillsbury but with Crescent Rolls this time around. We’re throwing in an easy El Mariachi or La Cocina substitute for the night with these Chicken Enchilada Puffs.

5. Mini Pancake Muffins
If you’re feeling nice and want to make something for your roommates without burning the dorm or apartment down, here’s something yummy for breakfast. Mini pancake muffins are also something you can take on the go to your 8 or 8:30 classes. Just make them the night before and you’ll be good to go in the morning.

6. Cucumber Hummus
If you’re able to get your hands on mini food processor or a blender or even a Magic Bullet, this super fresh hummus is healthy and tasty for snacking. Grab some tortilla chips, carrots, or celery dip and enjoy!

7. Gluten-Free Crepes
Don’t worry, I didn’t forget those who are gluten free. First off, if you don’t know what they are, crepes are like very thin pancakes. They’re basically French pancakes. You can put berries on them or whipped cream or even something savory. Crepes are versatile and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

8. Skinny Spinach Lasagna Rolls
Feel like making something a little more time consuming for dinner but you’re also trying to eat healthy at school? The Skinny Spinach Lasagna Rolls may be a good idea for a night to treat yourself (and/or your roommates) to a warm meal.

If you’re not already on Pinterest, it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. Pinterest is full of recipes for you to try, no matter the difficulty. Just remember to follow the directions and you (probably) won’t have a hard time.
Happy Cooking!
