The ultimate darty is weeks away and preparation time in limited. So, in order to have a success for House Crawl here are a few things you’ll want to make sure you have ready in advance.

The perfect outfit.

As I am sure you have heard, the theme is American. Which means anything and everything red, white and blue is free game. The more ridiculous you think you look the better, honestly. On this day you will see anything from the Old Navy flag shirts to morph suits to body paint. It is important to keep in mind this is a CRAWL so sensible shoes are a wise choice. White converse are always a big hit, but anything that doesn’t give you gigantic blisters is PERFECT! Also, keep the weather in mind when planning what to wear since 99% of the day will be spent outside. Hopefully it will be a beautiful day out and we can all get a nice tan and enjoy the day. If its sunny you will want to make sure to grab your sunglasses so you are not squinting in all your pictures, because trust me you’ll be taking a lot. As far as outfits go as long as you are wearing red white and blue and it’s something you can spent majority of your day drunk in then you’re all set. Extra details to add to your outfit that are always a big hit are cute face tattoos and fanny packs. You will see SO many flag and star tattoos and if you do not have one you’ll wish you did. As far as the fanny pack go they are a very fashion forward and useful addition to any outfit. Many people will have ones that go along with the theme, but any kind will be fine especially if its packed with the goods.

Moving on to the drink of the day.

You will want to make sure you have a bottle or jug that can hold your alcohol for the day. Many people get a container that holds a good amount that could last them for a few houses before needing to refill. However, if you are drinking cans or just taking shots then you’ll need a bag or something that you can easily carry with you from house to house. It is important to remember that it is still illegal to carry around an open bottle of vodka and chug it in broad daylight in between houses, so something a little more discrete is always a smart. For those who like mix drinks and stuff it is always a good idea to make your drink up in advance so you do not have to worry about mixing it at any of the houses. If you are carrying a bookbag or drawstring it might also be wise to throw in a few bottles of water to make sure you can survive the day long festivities. Aside from your main drink of the day do not forget to make all your jello shots and vodka gummy bears in advance. These are always go to have on hand to add a little substance to your diet for that day (and not to mention SUPER delicious).

The wrap up.

The night before the big day you’ll want to make sure you have all your friends added and located on find my friends to ensure there are no stranglers left on the fun filled day. Although you will be excited and not able to sleep try your best to get a good night’s rest before festivities began as soon as you open your eyes in the am. The day will begin with Mimosas in the morning followed by pregaming in the quad and then dive right into the crawl. On the way to the first house you should be feeling pretty good but by the time you move on to the second you’ll be feeling great and it only goes up from there. The walk from house to house is done in a pack, but still check find my friends so you or one of your friends do not get lost. Once all the houses have been visited then we move to Rookies to finish the daytime celebration. This is the last set stop of the day, but not the end of the fun it will pick right back up at Carriage Haus that evening.

So, all in all I hope you are ready to party all day and night on April 21st because it will be an experience you do not want to miss. Just remember this is suppose to be fun for all, so get decked out in your best America gear and get ready to binge drink like it is your job and leave any issues or problems at home that day. Hope you are all ready to crawl hard in just a couple weeks!
