The first snowfall of winter is always a beautiful and magical moment. The moment when a class full of college kids exclaim, “It’s snowing!” or my personal favorite way for the first snowfall: at night. There’s something about peaking out your bedroom window to see the fluffy snow falling down slowly while the moon reflects off the white ground. It’s a brief moment when Father Time seems to stand still. And it’s amazing, until it’s -25 degrees with the windchill and the snow is now mush, ruining your favorite pair of shoes. And in this moment, we all think the same thing: Winter sucks. Mother Nature has been giving us some teaser days, taunting us with Spring weather. So to get through these last few dreary weeks, I think it’s best if we remember everything that is just around the corner.
