I know many of us have either had our last few finals of the year or haven’t even started them yet. I wanted to share some of my go-to study buddies.

Colored Pens

Not only are colored gel pens satisfying, but they make rewriting your notes for the tenth time even more exciting. I look forward to studying (most of the time) just because I know I can make my notes color-coded and organized.

Snacks

I know all of us have been feeling that quarantine twenty sneaking up on us, but during finals you have to treat yourself to some comfort food in order to survive. My go to snacks when I am studying are Doritos, Cheez-Itz, Hot Cheetos, or anything I can get my hands on. Raise your hand if you are an emotional eater, because I know I am.

To-Do Lists

The week before finals is the most stressful time of the year. Last minute projects are due, multiple papers, final study guides waiting to be completed…. Well my friends, making lists is one of the most helpful ways to organize my priorities and actually get things done. Many times I just take an hour to study but I make a list of what I want to accomplish beforehand so I can stay on task and feel accomplished.

Caffeine!

This is a no brainer during finals week, but there are so many ways to ingest caffeine these days besides a warm latte. You can buy chocolate bars with a low dose of caffeine, crystal lite packets, Mio, Bang Energy, and a whole lot more. So don’t stress about there being a shortage of caffeine anytime soon.

Sleep!

I know that during finals week sleep is almost a taboo practice, but it is the most effective way to let your body recover. It allows you to have a clear mind for that nasty 8 am final. Remember to create some z’s during finals…. Your GPA will appreciate it.
