The San Francisco State University campus may not be the prettiest, but it has its moments. We have a modern library that’s fairly impressive and we’re incredibly green. We’ve created a system to direct water draining from the rooftops of the buildings into plant beds rather than flowing into the sewage system and into the sea. And if you haven’t discovered it yet, there’s a little oasis right in SFSU’s backyard — Lake Merced Park!
After a grueling morning of classes, take a stroll or a run around the lake! This week’s snapshot is exactly that! I was leaving campus and as I approached the lake on such a sunny and gorgeous day, I couldn’t help but stop and take dozens of pictures. Did you know there’s actually a trail you can follow closer to the lake? You can also run around the outside, I see people from all walks of life taking advantage of that. And now that spring is in the air, flowers are blooming!
So next time you need a study break, take a breather at Lake Merced!
