Last Fall, I made a few small changes during the semester to how I tackled my homework assignments, reading assignments, exams, and other projects. Since it’s the beginning of a new semester, I think it’s the perfect time to share some of these tips that can help you get ahead and stay ahead on your work this Spring.

  • Getting assignments done as soon as you get them:

Completing assignments as soon as you get them help prevent you working on five assignments the day before their due date, which also allows you to put your best effort into each assignment resulting in a better grade.

  • Write down ALL due dates for ALL assignments:

Even for the simplest assignment write down the due dates; this helps manage your time and ensures that you won’t miss easy points for not turning in assignments on time.

  • Sacrifice a Saturday:

I understand that everyone works very hard during the week, and the last thing they want to do is give up their Saturday to do more work. However, one Saturday every now and again can help make your semester go more smoothly. Dedicating one Saturday or any one day out of the week to doing work, can save you from being overwhelmed and stressed throughout the week. Use your free time to get ahead on projects, writing assignments, or whatever work you’ve been assigned.

I really hope these at least one of these tips help you stay ahead of the game with your work this semester!
