Easy Ways to Transform your Room for Spring

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

Even though there might still be snow on the ground, it’s time to start thinking spring! With the upcoming season, you may feel the need to do a much needed spring cleaning to prepare for the warmer weather.

1. If you’re like me, at this point in the year, your room is probably filled with tons of clothes.  We all might be too “weather confused” to bring winter clothes home just yet, but it’s always good to start organizing your closet.

2. Fresh flowers brighten up your room and are a simple upgrade for spring. The added color and life will boost your mood.

3. Declutter everything! After almost two semesters, your room might need this. Go through your desk drawers, and go through anything you won’t need until summer.

4. Clean!

Open the windows and get some cleaning supplies. There might be dust that needs to cleaned and your sheets will feel so much better with a wash, if you haven’t done that already.

5.  Maybe don’t light a candle in your dorm room but oil diffusers are awesome for making your room smell nice! The added aroma will heighten your senses and help the room feel less stuffy.

With a few of these simple things, you’ll be ready for spring. Your room will thank you and it’ll make moving out at the end of the semester a little easier!
