What has been the best part of your junior year?
Being reunited with my friends and rooming with some of the best guys I know at SHU.
You work out a lot, any plans of becoming a personal trainer?
I have thought about it a lot actually, and there is a big possibility that I might try it out. I like helping people and I have a passion for fitness so I think that it would work out well for me as a career!
What do you plan to do with your major? Do you have any goals?
I plan on using my marketing degree to get me into the business side of the sports world. I would like to then use the money I save to open up my own business one day.
You are an intern at New York Life Insurance. How do you like it?
Yeah, New York Life Insurance has been great. I work with a great group of people that are truly helping me to get real world marketing experience which will prepare me for life after college. The environment is very professional, caring and friendly. If I ever have a question or get in a bind, there is always someone there to lend a helping hand. The company, the people and the environment is amazing! Plus, I like how I look in a suit and tie lol.
What is your motivation?
My motivation runs pretty deep. I’ve had a lot of different experiences in my life, both positive and negative, that have made me step back and take a long look at myself in the mirror. To make it kind of short and to the point, my motivation is that one day I will be able help provide a great life for my future family, along with my mom.
What is your ideal cheat meal?
This is a tough one because I love food so much! However, I think I would have to go with buffalo wings for the appetizer, a nice cheeseburger for my entrée and either fried oreos or ice cream for my dessert. Yes I know I’m almost 21, but I am still a child at heart.
What is your ideal first date?
My ideal first date is going out to a nice Italian restaurant. I would then go grab some ice cream and take a nice walk on the beach.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
I would go to Barcelona, Spain! I’m going this spring break and I am so stoked. It’s going to be awesome.
If you had a chance to star in a reality television show, which one would you pick?
Ahhhhh…I don’t like reality television as it is, but if I had to pick I would choose The Jersey Shore. I would want to show everyone that Jersey isn’t the disgusting, idiotic place that the show made it out to be. No not all of us use ten pounds of gel in our hair. And no one fist pumps.
Where does your love for the beach and to surf come from?
It all started with my mom. She brought me to the beach as soon as I could walk. I was always fascinated by the water and the creatures in it. When I turned seven, my mom got me surfing lessons and since then I’ve been hooked! I’m going to sound like a trippy hippie but there is just something about the connection with nature and escaping the world that surfing gives me. It truly is a feeling like no other!
