5 Thoughts You Have While Watching the Tay Swift Workout Commercial

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

By now, everyone has probably seen the new Apple Music ad of Taylor Swift jamming out to Drake and Future as she’s working out. Not only did it spike the sales of the hit song, Jumpman, but it also made Taylor Swift a real person and made her a hell of a lot more relatable too.

1. “Man, I hate cardio.”

Taylor said it. Who actually enjoys cardio? Sure, it’s one of the best ways to work those muscles, but that doesn’t mean it’s enjoyable, and trust me, it’s not. But, at least Tay Tay doesn’t back away from something she doesn’t like, this should be a lesson to the world.

2. Workout Playlists

If you haven’t made one yet, you should probably get on that. There’s honestly nothing better than having an uplifting, motivational playlist to help you through your workout session.

3. But why didn’t she stretch more?

Isn’t the rule of thumb to ALWAYS stretch before a workout? I don’t know what you were thinking here Tay, but I wouldn’t stretch my arms if I was going to be running, I’d stretch out my quads and hamstrings and get them warmed up for the oncoming cardio.

4. That fall though!

Ouch. I personally felt for Taylor as my eyes saw her smack down on the treadmill and be launched back. Treadmills are super annoying if you haven’t found a good speed and will send you flying backwards if you don’t keep up. At least Taylor just shook it off.

5. I am Taylor Swift.

After watching this ad, I felt as if I was Taylor. Though I’m not a 5’ 10 blonde bombshell, I was able to relate to the misfortune of her workout session. This made Taylor a real person, not just a pop-culture superstar. You go Tay Tay!
