On April 7 Roosevelt University will be hosting its first TEDx Talk. This is an amazing opportunity! The Her Campus Roosevelt team would like to introduce you to some of the awesome team members that are organizing this event! Arielle Antolin is one of the hard working team members. Why did you choose your major?

I’ve always been interesting in marketing, but I didn’t want to focus just on the economic and business side. I wanted to focus more on the brand management and consumer engagement aspect.

What are your plans after graduation?

I’ll be traveling to the Philippines and Japan, then pursuing a career in marketing/event marketing.

Why did you choose RU?

As a marketing major, I figured being in downtown Chicago would bring more opportunities than at a school in the middle of nowhere.

What is your favorite thing about Roosevelt?

The many opportunities Roosevelt provides, and the students who go out and take advantage of these opportunities. Our university has a variety of ways to provide students with leadership experience and experience related to their future career.

Any campus involvement?

A member of Alpha Gamma Delta since Fall 2012, SPEED Board 2013/14 student assistant at the Center for Student Involvement, representative for student life during open house events, and recently on the executive team for TedXRoosevelt.

What has been your favorite RU event?

I’ve planned and attended a variety of events on campus, but favorite will definitely be TedXRoosevelt. This is the university’s first time hosting a TedX Talk, and will be featuring speakers who are a part of the Roosevelt community which is super exciting!

My short black booties, they’re comfy and go with any outfit!

What do you think makes you stand out?

I feel that my involvement on campus and bringing new events (RU’s first Greek Week, TedXRoosevelt, etc) gives me a unique presence at Roosevelt :)
