Fresh Study Spots in Kingston for the 2018 Exam Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Queen's U chapter.

1. The Small Batch Cafe and Eatery (282 Princess St.)

This quaint café on Princess St. has a wide array of sweet treats, healthy salads, and specialty drinks. The calming environment makes for a great space to get some solid work done. Wi-fi and some wall sockets are available.

2. Musiikki Cafe (73 Brock St.)

Notorious for its reputation as a swanky live jazz spot and for their whiskey, the Musiikki Café in the daytime is an inviting and cozy place to study for your exams this season. Wi-fi is available.

3. The Elm Cafe (303 Montreal St.)

A relaxed, comfortable, family-run café that offers a great selection of baked goods (the zucchini muffins are delicious!), and even a cool tomato gazpacho. Wi-fi is available.

4. The Common Market (136 Ontario St.)

A café opened in a vintage wharf house offering yummy pastries and paninis. A rustic feel and even a lake view if sat in the right seat! Wi-fi is available.

5. Sipps (33 Brock St.)

A cozy café (especially in the winter time!) for a quiet day of working hard on those papers. Great desserts, and creative hot drinks like lavender earl grey. Only the free city wi-fi is available, making it slightly difficult to go online, but wall sockets are available at the right seats.
