Looking for ways to spice up your spooky season? Try these delicious yet scary treats to enjoy and make with your friends this holiday season.

Candy Corn Rice Krispies

Something I make every year is homemade rice Krispy’s with candy corn. It’s a super simple recipe that takes around ten minutes to make. First, melt a bag of marshmallows and a tablespoon of butter over the stove and add six to eight cups of rice Krispy’s. Add candy corn and place in a tin to set. Then, enjoy! What’s so great about this recipe is you can use any type of cereal or Halloween candy you want.

Monster Oreo Truffles

Looking for a super simple treat to impress your friends? Try making this Oreo truffles. To make, crush around a bag of Oreos super fine and mix in a block of cream cheese. When all mixed, form your truffles into the shape of cake pop and set in the fridge for around twenty minutes. Once chill, coat your truffles with purple, green, or orange candy melts and add edible googly eyes to form a cute little monster.

Frankenstein Brownies

Buy a brownie mix at the store and bake in a tin. Once made, cut your brownies into square shapes and coat the brownie with green icing. Add marshmallows to the side of the brownies for the bolts and take black piping gel to form its face and stiches.

Spider Cookies

Make plain chocolate chip cookies and, once cool, add a whole Reese’s cup to the top of your cookie. Then take black piping gel to add eight legs and add some googly eye sprinkles to make a cute spider. Super yummy!

Although Halloween is going to be a bit different this year, I hope baking these recipes and watching scary movies will lift your spirits. Happy Halloween!
