The Semester Launch Of VALLEY Magazine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.

On November 8th, VALLEY Magazine threw their semester launch party to celebrate the publication of its 22nd edition. Taking place at The Rise apartment complex, the event gathered all the students who work on the magazine, as well as models and friends, to celebrate another semester of hard work.

VALLEY Magazine is a student-run magazine focused on fashion and lifestyle, and the launch clearly portrayed their image. It was a classy event with a DJ, backdrop photo, fireplace and more. However, the guests’ outfits are what stood out the most; they included a variety of 2018’s latest fashion trends.

When my friends and I arrived at the party, The Rise was filled with students enjoying the good music while talking and taking many pictures. The indoor section had a bar serving non-alcoholic drinks, a place to dance, and several small tables where students could enjoy the event. The outside portion had a fire pit with s’mores, games and several Instagram-worthy places, including a photography station with VALLEY magazine’s backdrop photo. The line to the photography stand was never-ending, as the guests wanted to take pictures with friends and with the staff who worked hard to make this event happen.

As the party came to an end, several executive staff members made speeches celebrating the launch of the new edition. Everyone was excited to listen to the team and compliment them for the beautiful event and, of course, the new release. At the end, the moment everyone was waiting for finally occurred and there was the big reveal of the Fall 2018 cover as well as the cover model. VALLEY Magazine succeeded in making an event that no one will forget.

The magazine will be distributed all over campus during this week, so don’t miss it, collegiettes!
