Portland, Oregon is such a unique place to live filled with its fun quirks whether big and small.  No wonder we like to say, “Keep Portland Weird.”  The city of Portland holds a lot of character and there’s always something to learn and do in such an interesting city.

  • Portland’s home to world’s smallest park, Mill’s End Park. Located at 56 SW Taylor St.

  • Portland has the most microbreweries than anywhere else in the world!

  • Powell’s Books is the largest independently owned bookstore in the world.

  • Portland was named by the flip of a coin…Boston, Oregon? That just sounds weird.

  • Portland has the largest number of vegetarian and vegan options in the country and almost 80% of the restaurants are local.

  • Portland is the only major US city with a dormant volcano within city limit!

  • Portland has many nicknames, including Rose City or “the City of Roses”, Stumptown, P-Town, PDX, and RipCIty.

  • Portland’s home to the best university out there… The University of Portland! (But that one was a no-brainer.)
