For some, syllabus week is a pretty low-key time, but for others, the struggle is only just beginning. Here’s a collection of gifs that describe the emotions so many of us experience during syllabus week.
Monday
It’s time for a fresh semester! Your schedule is full of classes that might be fun! At the start of the day you have yet to receive a single syllabus so you’re feeling really positive about the year right off the bat! And you discover some friends in your classes too, so life is going well!
Tuesday
Time to get up early for class again. This day is okay – some different stuff from yesterday’s schedule, so that’s exciting, but you still need to give yourself a little pep talk to get through the day. Yes, you do got this!
Wednesday
You come into class and discover you have a pop quiz. WHAT. It’s the second day of this class and you already have a quiz on a reading you were supposed to do. Call the rest of the day off because today is not your day.
Thursday
You are in the homestretch now! It’s almost the weekend! Even though you’ll be spending this weekend doing statistics homework, writing a 1,000-word essay, and doing your readings for the pop-quiz class, you just can’t wait to take a “break.” You have your schedules for the rest of the semester and it looks bleak from here on out, so you might as well take the weekend to enjoy yourself while you can.
Friday
FREEDOM AT LONG LAST. THE WEEKEND HAS ARRIVED.
Saturday
Time to celebrate a week’s worth of hard work!
Sunday
Sunday night hits and it’s time to buckle down and see what your upcoming week looks like, and that’s when you realize how much work you actually took on this semester. Time to regret your decisions.
Congratulations, you made it through syllabus week! The rest of the semester is just going to get crazier, so hang on and make the most of every moment!
