Cookies You Need to Try This Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

I really love Christmas. I LIVE for the season of giving, being with family, and indulging in sweets until they’re all gone. A lot of families have holiday traditions, and our big one is taking a weekend to bake cookies while watching Christmas movies. I’ve taken over the Christmas cookie planning and baking this year, and I want to share with you some of the cookie recipes I plan on using for the holidays!

Hot Chocolate Cookie Cups

My mom requested this one, and I think it’ll be very fun to make with my little sisters!

Hot Chocolate Cookies

My little sister really loves chocolate, so this one is primarily for her. They’re easy to make and look delicious!

Christmas Peanut Butter Blossoms

I make these cookies every year, because they are my absolute favorite. Soft, chewy, and melt in your mouth chocolate-y goodness. What more could you want in a cookie?

Eggnog Snickerdoodles

This is for all the Eggnog lovers out there. I made something similar last year and they came out wonderfully. They’re the perfect cookie for the holiday season!

Soft Baked Gingersnap Cookies

I have three favorite cookies I could eat year around. Gingersnap cookies is definitely a part of that list! I don’t like crunchy cookies, so if you’re like me, then this recipe is perfect for you.

Peppermint Mocha Cookies

This one is perfect for anyone addicted to the holiday drinks at Starbucks. I live on Peppermint Mochas during winter, and what better way to get that same flavor without driving to a coffee shop then to incorporate it into a cookie?

I clearly love cookies and Christmas a lot. I hope you found a new recipe to try out with your family this holiday season! For extra recipes, check out my Pinterest board here.
