Yesterday, I had the opportunity to see ON YOUR FEET! on Broadway through their ticket lottery. This is the second time I have had the chance to see it and the show was just as amazing as the first! Going to Broadway shows is truly magical and I would not have the opportunity to see half of the shows I have without being a student in New York City! There are several ways to see these amazing shows at a discount…if you just look hard enough.
TKTS BOOTH:
This is heaven sent. At this booth, you can purchase tickets for shows for up to 50% off. This is both a quick way to buy tickets at a discounted price and feel the excitement of Broadway, without the pain in your pockets! The closest booth to Pace University is located at South Street Seaport on 190 Front Street. Other booths are located in Times Square and Brooklyn.
PACE UNIVERSITY STUDENT DISCOUNTS:
This is easily the BEST perk of all! As a student, you have the opportunity to buy Broadway tickets through Pace at a discounted price. All you need to do is look out for them by checking your email and billboards or simply hear it through the grape vine. Anything for the discount!
ONLINE/IN- PERSON LOTTERY:
This is a great option if you decide to see a show last minute and happen to have amazing luck! Fortunately for me, I was able to score tickets through the lottery out of sheer luck. The lottery can be online, depending on the show, or in-person at the box office.
RUSH:
You can also access discounted tickets by stopping at the box office right when they open… this is a first come, first serve policy! Another student plus is that some shows have “Student Rush” so make sure to bring Student ID.
